A. HCI-Passivator
Passivation is done after galvanization of steel. Itis necessary to cool down the steel before passivation. Our passivator contains special additives which avoids white rust on newly galvanised steel, which results in increasing the life of galvanised steel. There are different types of passivators-
1. Chrome based Passivator
2. NonChrome base Passivator
B. HCI-Non-Chrome based Passivator
This passivator is free from chrome and is combination of polymers and phosphates required to seal and passivate the galvanized surface. The low strength solution is capable of reacting with fresh metal surface to from a passive film to prevent further oxidation and tarnishing. Its additive may be based on drag out losses and observation off the work.
The pH should be checked regularly and the bath should be maintained closely for the following -pH, temperature, immersion time etc. For desired corrosion resistance of the passivated film, it is necessary to maintain the level of metallic impurities within the specific limits.
